Virtual Puppy Training Videos for Instructors

In this crazy world, some things have changed forever. And the faster we embrace them, the better.

One of those is the need for online, or virtual, training sessions for puppies. And if – like me – you can make these work to everyone’s advantage then they can be truly effective, fun and engaging.

What?

To help you with this, I have put together a collection of 13 very short video clips. They vary from straight-forward demos to demos plus information delivered to camera – so you can choose what would help your client most.

They are designed to be used as a part of online training sessions:

  • To show your client exactly what to do (especially useful if you don’t have a puppy handy yourself!)
  • To give you a little break, mid-session – as they watch the video via screen share
  • To provide a discussion opportunity about a specific issue or exercise
  • To give feedback to your client by discussing what I do or say

How?

Well, my suggestion is that on a typical Zoom call the easiest thing to do is screen share and then play the video so your clients can watch as part of the session whenever yoou decide.

To show the video clip you can either access it via Thinkific on screen, or you can previously download the video to your computer or tablet and then play it from there. Your internet speed will decide which is the better option!

Strong recommendation! Do not send the clips to your client in advance. They won’t watch them. They need you to show them, and talk over them or – in the case of clips that have information delivered to camera – they need you to discuss them before and after watching.

One final word, please

I’m making these clips available to you on trust that I won’t see them on YouTube or distributed in any other way! Although I have deliberately not branded them, I retain all IP and copyright.

Thank you – and enjoy!
